Texas Little Cuties Rescue

Put a little "TLC" in your life!

Texas Little Cuties(TLC) Rescue is a 501(3)(c) non profit organization that typically rescues our dogs & cats from local shelters as well as taking in strays.  TLC is an all-volunteer animal rescue organization that specializes in saving little cuties scheduled to be euthanized because shelters lack room and funding. These animals are wonderful and they are only put down because they have no owners to claim & adopt them in time. They are all waiting for that miraculous second chance in life that they so deserve.

Our animals stay in loving foster homes where they are socialized, loved and evaluated to determine the best type of environment for their personalities. All animals receive their appropriate vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper, Parvo and Bordetella), deworming, and heartworm testing and scheduled for a spay or neuter. All dogs in our care are on heartworm preventative the minute they arrive. If a dog is tested positive for heartworms, we will take him through treatment or will recommend doing heartworm preventative for 7 months then retest. Not all dogs can handle the strong treatments, especially our very small Chihuahuas. Please contact us if you would like more information.

Foster Homes are ALWAYS desperately needed. Please consider filling out an application and put "FOSTER" as the dog interested in to become a foster parent. It is so rewarding to be able to say that you made a difference in that animals life and the lives of his new family!

We are a 501(3)(c) non profit RESCUE ORGANIZATION, therefore, please complete our online Adoption Application by clicking on the application page.   We require an adoption application, vet reference, and a home visit with the pet. If you have current pets, they must be spayed and/or neutered, current on their vaccinations, and on Heartworm preventative. ALL of our pets are spayed or neutered prior to being adopted, or they appointments have been scheduled. Our adoption fee varies. Our fees include spay or neuter, deworming, microchipping, all shots, FIV &/or heartworm testing, and treatment if needed.  If your current pet is not microchipped, please talk to a volunteer about allowing TLC to microchip your dog or cat for a small fee.

 Thrown from Car puppy!
It is always sad when dogs are hurt, but it is worse when a human causes that hurt....on purpose.  This little girl is about 4 months old, a beagle terrier mix, and weighs 10 lbs.  Take that combo and throw her out of a moving car and you are sure to get injuries.

Mila (me la) was found by a caring citizen in Farmersville, out in the country.  She immediately took her to the vet and then to our vet in McKinney when it was determined that breaks were visible.  She has a broken jaw and her hind leg is broken in 2 places.  She also has a fractured pelvis and an issue with her hip.  It could have been worse, but that is more damage that a puppy should have to endoure.

We now have to report that surgery to fix the leg alone was going to be over $2500 and no guarantees since the break is on the growth plate.  After debate, Dr. Shelton agrees that amputation will be the best option.  She is young, strong willed, and a fighter...she will do great on 3 legs.  Leg amputation will be approx $1000 - $1200.

Her injuries are being treated at 380 West Animal Hospital in McKinney.  Donations towards her very high vet bills can be made directly to 380 West @ 214-544-7881 or by paypal which can be found on our Donate page.  Please help us help her and remember every dollar donated makes a difference.
